Wines have been auctioned at Kloster Eberbach (Monastery) since 1806.

This long tradition was already brought into a new age last year. Due to the Corona crisis, the “wet auction” was not held as a presence event, but was broadcasted as a livestream. Those interested in bidding were able to bid simultaneously in an online portal. This year, the VDP.Rheingau wineries are going one step further and installing an NFC tag on each bottle.
